Mackenzie Hadfield

Mackenzie Hadfield took over as the head coach of Mercyhurst's field hockey program entering the 2023 season.

The native of Quakertown, Pa., Hadfield comes from Muhlenberg College, where she spent the last season as the Assistant Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Coach. Her responsibilities included organizing all team travel, facilitating practices, preparing film, recruiting, and oversight of international trips.

Before her tenure at Muhlenberg, Hadfield was a four-year member of the nationally ranked Millersville's Field Hockey team. During her time on the field, the team earned an impressive 57-23 record while recording three PSAC Semifinal appearances.

In her inaugural season at Mercyhurst, Coach Hadfield made an impactful debut. Under her leadership, the team scored a total of 29 goals and averaged 1.81 goals per game, setting a foundation for future growth.

The 2024 season marked Coach Hadfield’s second year at the helm and the Lakers’ first season competing at the Division I level and as part of the Northeast Conference. Despite facing highly competitive opponents, Coach Hadfield's leadership was evident throughout the season, as the team embraced the challenges of this new era.
