Syracuse, NY- The Mercyhurst Softball team is prepared to take on the Le Moyne Dolphins in their final Conference series of the season.
Laker's Form
Mercyhurst is currently 4-30 overall and 2-16 in conference play. They recently played Robert Morris University and lost both games in the doubleheader. Robert Morris has already clinched the playoffs in the Horizon League and was bound to be a tough opponent.
Lauren Henrich hit a home run in that game and has the third highest OPS on the team with .743.
Eliza Reynolds has the highest batting average with .315 and leads the team in hits with 35 and RBIs with 21. The Lakers may look to these two or power hitter
Jazlynn Sanders, who has seven home runs, for offensive play in this upcoming series.
Scouting the Dolphins
Le Moyne is 13-26 overall and 5-10 in the NEC. They recently played a big opponent on ESPN + like Mercyhurst did. They fell in a doubleheader against Colgate University. The Dolphins might look to Cianna Benamati for her slugging in this series. The Freshman infielder has an OPS of 1.057, 33 hits, 36 RBIs, and eight home runs this season. They have just one batter with a batting average above .300, similar to the Lakers who have two.
Date, Time, and Where to Follow
The first pitch will take place Saturday, April 26 at 3:00 PM. Viewers can find live coverage on the NEC Front Row.
