LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Mercyhurst senior baseball player Jimmy Latona was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Baseball West Division Athlete of the Week for his performance the week of Feb. 20-26 as announced by the league on Monday.
 
In three games against Post University in Holly Springs, N.C., Latona batted .875 (7-for-8) with six runs, two home runs, and three runs-batted-in. He was also walked four times and finished the weekend with a .917 on-base percentage. Latona led off the first game of the weekend with a home run and earned his second round-tripper of the day in walk-fashion in the second game Friday's doubleheader. He then proceeded to go 3-for-3 with three runs scored on Sunday.
