2008-09: Battled senior Kenny Bluska and junior Mike Sullivan for the starting role most of the season, cracking into the lineup as a regular after taking first at the Mount Union Open to win a 5-3 decision over North Carolina-Pembroke’s Erik Stancil…placed third at the National Catholic Invitational…added a fifth-place finish at the Cleveland State Open…finished with a 27-16 record, including an 18-11 mark in tournament matches…won four matches by fall… won 10 consecutive matches midway through the season and closed out his sophomore campaign winning 15 of 20 matches, including a 2-2 showing at the NCAA II Super Region 1 Championships.
2007-08: Had solid start to his rookie season but it was cut short by an injury...Finished the season with a 12-11 record, including a 7-5 mark in duals and a fourth-place finish at the National Catholic Invitational with a 4-2 record...Totaled three pins and one major decision.
High School: Wrestled and participated in football and track and field...Led team to four-straight sectional championships and two league championships...Set the school record for career pins with 93, most pins in a season with 30, most wins in a season with 43, most career wins with 145...Was the school's first-ever two-time state champion...Was a four-time state qualifier and three-time state finalist...As a senior in football, was named North Ohio All-Star in the North/South All-Star Game.
