Agosta Named Alternate Captain For Canadian Olympic Team

Mercyhurst women's ice hockey alumnus Meghan Agosta was chosen as an alternate captain for Team Canada's women's ice hockey team at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
 
Agosta joins Brianne Jenner and Jocelyne Larocque as alternate captains while Marie-Philip Poulin was named captain.
 
Agosta is set to play in her fourth Olympic Games with Team Canada. In 15 career Olympic games, Agosta has scored 15 goals and eight assists to lead the Canadians to three-straight gold medals.
 
Agosta will be joined by former Laker teammate Bailey Bram, who is competing in her first Olympics. Agosta, Bram, and Team Canada take on Russia in their first game Feb. 11 at 7:10 a.m. EST.
