INDIANA, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team dropped a 69-53 contest to second-ranked Indiana (Pa.) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal on Wednesday.

Durrell McDonald led the Lakers in scoring, finishing with 17 points, while Malcolm Walters contributed 10 points.

For IUP (27-2), Dante Lombardi led the way with 20 points while Jacobo Diaz had a double-double worth 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Mercyhurst scored the game's first four points before the host Crimson Hawks responded with an 8-0 run. The Hawks closed the first half with an 11-point run and led the rest of the way.
