DALLAS, Texas – The Mercyhurst baseball team was ranked 12
th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) national preseason poll released Feb. 1.
The poll marks the second national ranking for the Lakers this preseason. They ranked ninth on the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper preseason coaches' poll released Dec. 21.
The Lakers placed #2 in the Atlantic Region preseason poll released by the NCBWA Jan. 27.
Other Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams included Millersville (#4) and West Chester (#25).
Mercyhurst starts its season Feb. 18 against West Virginia State in Beckley, W.V.
