LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Mercyhurst redshirt-junior baseball player Colin McKee was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.

McKee fired seven innings of shutout ball, recording 11 strikeouts during the Lakers' 9-0 win over Notre Dame (Ohio) on Friday. He also allowed three hits during game one of the weekend's three game series at Notre Dame.

The honor was McKee's second weekly award of the 2016 season.

The Lakers (10-5) will be in action again this weekend when they meet Seton Hill for a four-game series in Pennyslvania State Athletic Conference action.
