Cambridge, MA – Coming off a tough loss to the St. Francis Terriers in the opening round of the CWPA Championship, the Lakers looked to take down Fordham. The Lakers played a solid first quarter, but got out scored by their division one foe 4-2. Much of the same in the second quarter the Lakers saw the Ram's put up another 4 goals while they could only score 2. The Rams lead the Lakers 8 – 4 going into halftime. Mercyhurst came out of the half firing with confidence and swagger, and outscored the Rams 3 - 2 cutting the lead down to 3. Curtis Robinette quickly called a timeout. The Lakers did not convert and the Rams turned up the pressure. Fordham scored as time expired to beat the Lakers 11-10.

Jack Howe had an impressive showing, pacing the Lakers with 5 goals in the contest. Phillip Jenny was the second highest scorer in the contest with two tallies. While

Matt Bachler, and
Connor Schmitz all added a point to the scoreboard as well. Junior Andrew Too – A – Foo played the first half in net for the Lakers recording 2 saves and 2 steals.
Gene Bilbao took over in the second half and recorded 6 saves, a steal and had only 2 goals against.
