The CWPA released the finalized seeding for the upcoming CWPA Championship tournament in Cambridge, MA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Lakers received an at large bid to qualify for the 12 team tournament. The Lakers will begin play Friday November 20^th at 2:00 PM against a tough St. Francis College Brooklyn team that placed third at the Northern Division Championships. St. Francis is a perennial power house in the CWPA, with whom the Lakers have history. In 2012 the Lakers lost to St. Francis at the CWPA championship in the final seconds of the semifinals.
    The Lakers first qualified for the CWPA championship in 2012, they have now qualified for the third time in four years. Mercyhurst finished the regular season with a record of 10 – 6 going 5 – 0 in conference play. To being the post season they went 2 – 2 at the Southern Division Championships, and look to improve at the CWPA Championships.
