ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team heads to Edinboro for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game on Saturday, February 15. The contest is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start at McComb Fieldhouse.

The Lakers are 13-9 overall and 9-3 in the PSAC. They defeated Slippery Rock, 56-52, on Wednesday.

Paul Bilbo, and
Andy Hoying combined for 36 points as Mercyhurst avenged a loss at The Rock last month.

Edinboro has a 9-13 record, including a 2-10 mark in the PSAC. It fell, 71-54, at Gannon on Wednesday. Henri Wade-Chatman scored 17 points as the Fighting Scots lost for the third time in four outings.
Mercyhurst is alone in third place in the Western Division. IUP leads at 10-2, with Gannon following at 10-3. IUP hosts Gannon on Saturday night. The Lakers are 9-3 and Slippery Rock is 8-5. All four teams have secured berths in the PSAC Tournament. Mercyhurst has clinched a home game in the tournament.

Coach
Gary Manchel's squad is one of the top defensive units in the country, allowing 60.5 points per game, good for fourth nationally. The Lakers have held 11 opponents under 60 points and have contained 21 of 22 foes under their season scoring average.

The Scots are one of the best ball-handling teams in the conference. They average 12.2 turnovers per game, fewest in the PSAC. Edinboro is second in the league in offensive rebounding, grabbing 13.7 a game.

On January 15, the Lakers came from behind to beat Edinboro, 77-65 in overtime. Mercyhurst trailed, 59-55, with 1:07 left in regulation. Onana hit a three-pointer before the Scots split a pair of free throws. Hoying collected an offensive rebound and tied the game with five seconds remaining. In overtime, Mercyhurst scored the first nine points on its way to a 12-point win.

This season, Onana leads the Lakers in scoring at 9.7 points per game.
Jonathan Ouegnin is next with 9.4 points and
Anthony Lytle is putting up 8.4 points a game. Bryan Theriot paces the Edinboro attack with 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Jonny Marsh and Wade-Chatman are combining for 27.4 points a game.
