CALGARY, Alberta – Three members of the Mercyhurst College women’s hockey team will take part in the 2010 Canadian National Women’s Under-22 Selection Camp, beginning on Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Mastercard Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

Bailey Bram and incoming freshman Christine Bestland will join 33 other skaters vying for a spot on the 2010-11 under-22 roster. Four goaltenders will be selected for the camp on Thursday, Aug. 5.
The camp, which will run through Monday, Aug. 16, gives Hockey Canada coaches an opportunity to evaluate players through practices and intersquad scrimmages. Following the conclusion, 22 players will be selected to take part in a three-game series against the United States Women’s Under-22 Select Team on Aug. 18 – 21 in Toronto.
All players attending will also be eligible to represent Canada at the 2011 MLP Cup in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland in early January. Canada has won the tournament seven times in eight years, losing just two games.
