Mercyhurst Athletics

The Men's ACHA D1 Hockey Program has released its 2010-2011 tryout and training camp schedule. All on-ice evaluations will be held at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Prospective players are required to outfit themselves with properly fitted hockey equipment, including full facial protection. Tryouts are open to all full-time Mercyhurst College students attending main campus. This year’s tryout and evaluation camp fee is $50 and is due at the time of registration. All players will be guaranteed at least 3 tryout sessions before any cuts will be made.

Registration will take place on Sunday August 29th from 6-7pm in the front lobby of the Mercyhurst Ice Center (MIC). All required forms for the on-ice evaluations will be distributed and collected at this time. Prospective players are also required to bring a pen, their student ID number, a copy of their fall term class schedule, their social security number and proof of health insurance. Players will not be allowed on the ice without this information.

·         Returning Players Skate from 9:30pm-10:20pm

·         All New Players Skate from 10:30pm-11:30pm  

Tuesday August 31^st from 10:15pm-11:30pm

Wednesday September 1^st from 9:45pm-11:30pm

Thursday September 2^nd from 10:15pm-11:30pm

Sunday September 5^th 

·         Team Meeting from 6pm-8pm

·         Ice Session from 10pm-11:30pm
