INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Mercyhurst College women's lacrosse team was tabbed fourth in the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Regional Rankings, released Wednesday afternoon by NCAA officials.

The top three teams from each region receive a bid to the 2010 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship.

The Lakers, standing at 16-2 overall and 16-2 in the South Region, suffered just their second loss of the season last week, when cross-town rival Gannon defeated them, 15-9, in the first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Quarterfinals.

Lock Haven, the 2010 PSAC Champion, captured the top spot, followed by West Chester in second and Limestone in third.
