INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Mercyhurst College men’s lacrosse team fell two spots to third in the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse Regional Rankings, released Wednesday by NCAA officials.
The top team from each region – North, South and Central – and one at-large will receive a bid to the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse Championship.
The Lakers, standing at 12-1 overall and 10-1 in the Central Region, dropped after suffering their first loss of the season to C.W. Post, 11-9, last weekend. With the win, the Pioneers moved to first.
Dowling, New York Tech and Seton Hill all remained the same, ranking second, fourth and fifth.
Mercyhurst wraps up its regular-season schedule this Saturday, May 8, with a 1 p.m. contest at Dominican (N.Y.).
