Maeve McGoff were tabbed as second-team performers.
ECAC officials announced their All-Star selections Thursday morning, honoring 25 student-athletes from ECAC-member institutions.
All four Lakers played important roles as seventh-ranked Mercyhurst went 16-2 and earned a bid to the 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.
Keirn and Masterton anchored Mercyhurst offense with a combined 188 points. Keirn, an attacker from Henrietta, N.Y., broke the school’s single-season point record with 47 goals and 57 assists for 104 points. Masterton, a midfielder from Penfield, N.Y., led the team in goals with 50 while dishing out 34 assists for 84 points.
Yackel and McGoff kept teams at bay on defense. Yackel, a defender from Camilus, N.Y., started in 16 games while accumulating 36 ground balls and causing 16 turnovers. McGoff, a goalkeeper from Terrace Park, Ohio, recorded a 16-2 record with an 8.70 goals against average and a .513 save percentage.
The ECAC is the nation's largest athletic and the only multi-divisional conference with approximately 300 Divisions I, II, and III colleges and universities from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois.
