BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- In its first trip to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship, the Mercyhurst College men's tennis team was unable to upset top-seed Kutztown University in a 5-2 loss.
The Lakers close out the season with a 13-11 overall record and will await word on their selection to the NCAA Tournament. Announcements regarding the selections for the 2010 NCAA II Men's Tennis Tournament are set for April 28 on NCAA.com.
Prior to today's loss, Mercyhurst had won three in a row and six out of its last eight contests, including yesterday's stunning upset of No. 2 and host institution Bloomsburg.
