Cullen Eddy has signed a professional contract with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the East Coast Hockey League, team officials announced last week.
Eddy, a defenseman from Hidden Valley, Pa., joined the Cyclones on a tryout agreement before being offered a standard player contract following evaluations.
He recently completed his fourth year of eligibility with head coach Rick Gotkin and the men’s hockey team just a few weeks ago. For his career, he produced the Lakers with nine goals and 40 assists for 49 points in 144 games.
Cincinnati competes in the North Division of the American Conference and has clinched a spot in the upcoming ECHL playoffs. With the signing of Eddy, the Cyclones now boast five former Lakers for the playoff run, including Matt Pierce, Brett Robinson, Scott Reynolds and Jamie Coghlan.
