ALLIANCE, Ohio – Senior Andy Lamancusa recorded his 100th career victory en route to the 157-lb. title at the Mount Union Purple Raider Open.

The nation’s top-ranked 157-pounder in Division II led eight Mercyhurst College placewinners, including two runners-up and two fourth-place finishers.

Lamancusa recorded the milestone win in the semifinals, defeating West Liberty State’s Shane Melko by major decision, 12-2.

The two-time All-America needs just nine victories to become the Lakers all-time wins leader and surpass current record holder Zach Schafer (109).

Finishing second was David Bolger at 133 lbs. and heavyweight Mike Sullivan. Contributing fourth-place finishes were Lance Pitcel at 141 lbs. and Fred Hale at heavyweight.

Taking fifth-place was Clint Schafer at 165 lbs. and Pat Leahy at 174 lbs. while at 184 lbs. Tim McAndrew added a sixth-place showing.

Next up for the Lakers is the Super Region 1 Duals, hosted by Newberry College, Jan. 23-24.
