LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College men's cross country team finished in a tie for third place at the 2009 Lock Haven Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning in Lock Haven, Pa.
The Lakers accumulated 102 points to tie Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foe West Chester. Host-institution Lock Haven won the race with runners taking places 1 – 4 and 17 points, followed by Indiana (Pa.) claiming second with 91 points. Misericordia rounded out the top-5 with 105 points.
Freshman
Nicholas Stolar led the Lakers with a 13th-place time of 27:05. Sophomore
Keven Gregg was the next closest runner to cross the tape, taking 15th place with a 27:11 reading. Freshman
Ryan Haylett recorded a mark of 27:51 for 24th place while sophomore
Steven Lovewell captured 32nd in 28:20. Junior

Steven Long rounded out the Mercyhurst runners in 38th (29.00), 47th (29:30) and 64th (31:25).
The Lakers lace it up again this weekend when they take on the Notre Dame Catholic Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19.
