ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst College baseball program has announced its 2009 "Skills Camp" for high school and junior college players.
The day-long event will be held on Sunday, September 20th from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Mercyhurst Field. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. Cost for the camp is $100.
Campers will be instructed in various aspects of the game. Players will also be tested on arm strength, defensive ability, hitting ability, pitching ability and 60 yard dash. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and be mailed an evaluation from the staff in the weeks following the camp.
In addition to the coaching staff and players from Mercyhurst College, there will be coaches from other local colleges as well as area pro scouts.
This camp is first-come first-serve, based on receipt of registration and payment. The official camp roster is limited. Based on previous camps, a waiting list will start once the roster is completed. Upon receipt, a confirmation email will be sent with more details and information regarding the camp.
No refunds within 2 weeks of the camp unless for medical reason in which a physician’s note must accompany request. No refunds 24 hours or less prior to camp.
