Laker Men Advance to Semifinals of Henley Royal Regatta

The Mercyhurst men's crew boat sits at the Henley Royal Regatta.
HENLEY, England -- The Mercyhurst College crew team advanced to the semifinals of the Visitors Cup Challenge at the 2009 Henley Royal Regatta after easily defeating Berlin & Hannoverscher, Germany.
The Lakers crossed the line in 7:07, 12 seconds off their near-record pace from yesterday's first round upset of two-time Henley champion Galway, Ireland.
Mercyhurst will now face Molesey B.C. in the semifinals on Saturday at 12:10 p.m. GMT (7:10 p.m. EST). Molesey defeated Newcastle & Dukla Praha in the quarterfinals after pulling a first-round upset against seeded Leander Club.
