Thousand Oaks, Calif. – The Mercyhurst College women’s water polo team saw its losing streak extend to nine games this past weekend, as the Lakers dropped four games to four different opponents at the 2009 Cal Lutheran Women’s Water Polo Invitational in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
The Lakers (0-9) opened the tournament on Friday with a 10-8 loss to Fresno Pacific before dropping contests to Cal State Monterey Bay (7-5), Redlands (9-5) and UC Santa Cruz (8-3) on Saturday. Full scoring details were not available at this time and will be posted once they become available.

Curtis Robinette, will participate in the 2009 Michigan Invitational this weekend, beginning on Friday, March 13 in Ann Arbor, Mich. Mercyhurst is set to take on five Division I teams including Villanova, Michigan, Siena, Marist and Iona during the two-day event.
