Men's Cross Country Takes Seventh at Carnegie Mellon Invitational

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men’s cross country team finished seventh out of 14 with a total of 211 in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational 8K race on Saturday afternoon.
The Lakers were led by senior
Tomas Bolger who finished the race in 27:29.43 for a 31st place overall finish and a 27th place finish in the team scoring.
Nicholas Stolar turned in a solid No. 2 performance for the team, crossing the line in 27:54.64, good for a 43rd overall finish.
Chris Strohm,
Ryan Haylet, and Timothy Robinson each finished in the top-76. Strohm completed the race in 28:17.40 to finish third for the Lakers. Haylet ran the course in 28:47.04 while Robinson finished in 28:59.76.
Rounding out the scoring for the Lakers were
Andrew Rusnak with a 29:49.23, and
Calvin Corso with a 29:57.90.
The Lakers return to action when they host the Mercyhurst Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17 in Erie, Pa.
