Erie, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College men’s soccer team is rated No. 4 in the Atlantic Region again this week, according to the latest poll by the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee. The top four teams in each region at the end of the season qualify for the NCAA tournament. National tournament selection takes place Monday at 7 p.m.
The top three in the region have shifted since last week, as Millersville took over the No. 1 spot, followed by Slippery Rock, who moves up to No. 2 from No. 3 a week ago. East Stroudsburg settles in at No. 3 after being at No. 1. Teams 4-6 stay the same, with Mercyhurst, Lock Haven and California (Pa.) ranked in that order.
The Lakers (9-6-2) have completed their regular season and will wait until Monday to hear word of their postseason fate.
