Lakers Take 13th At PSAC Championships

2008 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship Results

Lock Haven, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College men's cross country team finished in 13th place at the 2008 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships Saturday afternoon in Lock Haven, Pa.
 
Led by junior Tomas Bolger's 24th place time of 25:51, the Lakers accrued 343 points to solidify the 13th spot. Edinboro claimed its second straight championship with 56 points while Slippery Rock was the runner up with 65.
 
Along with Bolger, six other Laker runners placed in the top-100. Freshman Keven Gregg earned the 73rd spot with a mark of 27:40 while sophomore Christopher Strohm finished 79th with a time of 28:07. Senior Derek Hoerner placed 82nd overall at 28:17 followed by freshman Steven Lovewell and senior Kurtis Billig in 85th and 88th with times of 28:28 and 28:48. Junior Andrew Rusnak rounded out the race in 90th place with a reading of 29:02.
 
Mercyhurst returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 for the 2008 NCAA East Regional.
