ERIE, Pa. -- Mercyhurst College officials will host two alumni outings during the Lakers baseball and softball spring training trips in Florida this month. President Dr. Thomas J. Gamble and Vice President for Advancement Dr. David Livingston will be cheering on the teams on Thursday, February 25.

In 2009, Mercyhurst College made quite the impression in its first season as a full-time member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. But with an offense that is without its top two hitters and a pitching staff that departed three of the team's career leaders, 10th-year head coach Joe Spano will need to reload in those categories for continued success in 2010.
